Effective and last updated: October 25, 2026
This policy explains what information Newton’s Law PA, doing business as Plan Ahead (“Plan Ahead,” “we”), collects through planaheadlaw.com, including the Estate Risk Snapshot, and how we use it.
Using this site does not create an attorney-client relationship. The Estate Risk Snapshot asks short multiple-choice questions about your family, your home, any business you own and the planning documents you already have, and we use your answers to prepare your results. It does not ask for, and you do not need to give, account numbers, health information or the details of a legal problem. Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information about a legal matter through a contact form, a text message or email until we have agreed in writing to represent you.
What we collect
- When you contact us through a contact form on the site: your name, email address, phone number and the topic you choose. Our contact forms have no message box. If you email or call us, we also receive what you write or tell us.
- When you sign up for our newsletter: your email address. For our webinar: your first name, last name and email address.
- When you take the Estate Risk Snapshot: your name, email address, your state, your answers to its questions (about your family, your home, any business you own and the planning documents you already have), and how you reached the site (for example, the ad or link you clicked).
- When you book a consultation: the details you give our scheduling service (such as your name, email address, phone number, the time you choose and anything you add in its notes box).
- When you browse the site: standard technical information such as your browser, device, pages visited and an approximate location derived from your IP address. On the homepage we use the approximate location only to show a banner suggesting the state page that fits you; the rest of the site is the same for everyone.
How we use it
- To answer your inquiry and to schedule and hold consultations.
- To prepare and send your Estate Risk Snapshot results, and a short series of follow-up emails about estate planning. Every follow-up email has an unsubscribe link, and we stop when you use it.
- To send the newsletter or webinar information you asked for.
- To understand how visitors use the site and which of our ads and pages lead to consultations, so we can improve them.
- To check for conflicts of interest before we take on a new client, as the rules for lawyers require.
- To protect the site and meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Phone calls and text messages
If you give us a phone number, we may call or text you about your inquiry or your appointment. We do not send marketing text messages unless you have separately agreed in writing to receive them. We do not share mobile numbers or text-message consent with anyone for their own marketing.
Who helps us run the site
We share information only with service providers that run parts of the site or our practice for us, and only for that purpose:
- Google: Google Analytics, Google Ads measurement when we run ads, the map on our pages, the webinar video on YouTube, and Google Cloud, where the site and the Estate Risk Snapshot run.
- Calendly and Clio Grow: consultation scheduling. What you send through our contact forms and sign-ups goes into Clio Grow, where we keep track of inquiries.
- Brevo: delivers the email notice of each form submission to our office.
- Microsoft: our email service (Microsoft 365). Your Estate Risk Snapshot results and the follow-up emails are sent from our Microsoft 365 email account.
- Automattic (Jetpack): site statistics.
- ipinfo.io: the approximate-location lookup behind the homepage state banner.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
Google Analytics and advertising cookies
We use Google Analytics to see how visitors use the site, and Google Ads measurement to see which of our ads lead to inquiries and bookings. These Google services use cookies and similar technology to collect information such as the pages you visit and how you arrived. When you fill in a form on the site, Google Analytics may also collect the email address, phone number or postal address you enter. The Google tag turns it into a one-way code (a hash) before sending it, and Google matches that code with information it already holds, which can improve how Google measures inquiries and the audience details in our reports. We do not use lists of site visitors, or the information from our forms, to target ads. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and control the ads Google shows you at adssettings.google.com.
Cookies and “Do Not Track”
The site and the services above use cookies to keep the site working, remember your choices and measure visits and ad results. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work. The site does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. Google and the other providers named above may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites.
How long we keep it
If you do not become a client, we keep your inquiry and your Estate Risk Snapshot answers for 3 years after our last contact with you, then delete them. We may keep a short record of your name and the date of your inquiry so we can check for conflicts of interest. Newsletter and webinar sign-ups stay on our list until you unsubscribe. If you become a client, your engagement agreement and our professional obligations govern how we keep your client information.

Children
This site is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Security
The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we collect. No website or email system is perfectly secure. If a security breach affects your information, we notify you as the law requires.

We post any change to this policy on this page with a new “last updated” date.
